Editing Services for Authors
I hail from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. From a young age I have detected a passion for literature and writing. This passion brought me to study and graduate with a Bachelor of English from Acadia University and, later, to graduate with a diploma in Public Relations from Humber College.
I let my creative talents soar when I opened a creative clubhouse for children. My small business thrived and grew into a micro-publishing house for young writers. Using my writing and editing skills and panache for spinning great tales, I had 25 young authors busily creating stories at the clubhouse on any given day. It was the young authors who encouraged me to write my own fiction/fantasy books. Over the past decade, I have self-published five generously-paged novels (three of which are part of a 6-book series); and the first book of a children’s chapter book series. I am currently working on book four of her Y/A series as well as writing the second chapter book of a new series which will take young readers across Canada on an environmentally-friendly journey.
I have taught creative writing sessions at public libraries and other public gathering houses both in Ontario and in Nova Scotia. I have years of experience with proofreading and project goals. I am proud to be the recipient of the 2014 Inspire Imagination Award given to her by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.
More recently, I offered my full editing services to a first-time author in New Brunswick. The murder mystery was a delightful way for me to enter the world of novel editing. I hope to help other Atlantic Canadian authors to reach their goals and dreams for their written words.
